Dance has positively moved communities in Harlem (NY), Compton (LA), East London (UK) and many other communities around the world.  The act of learning the technicalities of dance can ignite, unite, empower and forever alter the way people relate, communicate and listen.

The creators of Dance4Life plans for this infusion of dance and the viral awareness from our video logs to bring a global unification on pressing  issues.

According to Wikipedia, in 2005 the death rate in Jamaica escalated to “1,674 murders for a murder rate of 58 per 100,000 people. That year, Jamaica had the highest murder rate in the world.”  .... “There were over 1,682 reported murders in 2009 and 1,428 in 2010. Since 2011 the murder rate started to fall” … following trends of police patrols, curfews and more effective anti-gang activities. “In 2012, the Ministry of National Security reported a 30% decrease in murders.  Many of the murders in Jamaica are connected to organized crime in the country’s urban centers and most of this organized crime involves the illegal drug trade”, rarely affecting tourists.

"Through April 2013, murders have decreased by 1.4% to 344. Jamaica still averages just under 3 (2.87 to be more exact) murders per day. While we are happy for the improvement over 2012, this figure is 9 more than the 335 recorded through the same period in 2011." (source)
